Each year Christmas brings us to a renewed sense of awe and appreciation for the great redemptive work that God brought about in the birth of His son, Jesus Christ. It is a time for family and for the simple pleasures of being together. Every Christian will acknowledge that Jesus is our greatest gift, given by God Himself to transform our lives and give us hope in the darkness of this sinful world. We praise Him and rededicate ourselves to the preaching of this Good News in a lost world. We also trust that you are rejoicing with us in this wonderful time of praise and thanksgiving.
But is also a time for us to give thanks for the many gifts we have received from God each and every day. We thank him for the simple things in life, such as our sustenance. We are thankful for being a family that has been blessed and guided by His work and His word. We are thankful for these times when we can all be together and can celebrate each other and the oneness we have in Christ. Christmas time is truly a blessed time of the year and is one of the most meaningful for our family and we hope you are enjoying that same blessing.
One other blessing we always remember at Christmas is how we have been blessed by our sharing with each and every one of you in the preaching of the Gospel. We have been privileged to serve with you in this greatest of enterprises; the preaching of the Gospel into the “regions beyond.” So at this Christmas time of the year, as we thank God for His great gift in Jesus. We also thank God for each and every one of you who has so faithfully prayed for us over the years. We thank God for each and every one of you who has so generously supported us in this ministry over the years. We have been blessed in so many ways that words fail me in my efforts to express my gratitude and thankfulness.
So just permit me to say thank you from the bottom of my heart on behalf of myself, my family, and the missionary ministry in Colombia. May God richly bless you just as you have so richly blessed us through your prayers and support in our joint efforts to fulfill the Great Commission. Have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy and prosperous New Year.
