If you read the recent newsletter, you read about Nohelly’s new business making tamales. Tamales are a delicious traditional Colombian food. You won’t be disappointed if you make a batch. They do take a lot of time and it may take you a while to search out a few of the ingredients needed. Often you can find them at Hispanic markets in big cities and sometimes as places like Wal-Mart if you have a large Hispanic population in you area.
I was going to write out the recipe and directions for making traditional Colombian Tamales, but then I found this blog that has great step by step instructions with photos. No use reinventing the wheel. Head on over to: Nika’s Culinaria and give her recipe a try. http://nikas-culinaria.com/2006/12/29/colombian-tamales-how-2-guide/
